In December 2017, I graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a BS in chemistry and mathematics. I obtained this degree as a collegiate athlete playing basketball at the DII level. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in Dr. Khatib’s lab pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering. My research focuses on hydrogen production through novel materials used in catalytic methane decomposition. In my free time, I enjoy camping, hiking, and walking my dog Belle.
I was born and raised in Surabaya, Indonesia, and graduated from Oregon State University in 2020 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. I joined TTU's Chemical Engineering PhD program immediately after, and I am currenlty researching methane dehydroaromatization on ZSM-5-supported molybdenum catalysts. When not doing research, I enjoy playing music and keeping up with all things related to competitive gaming/esports!
I am a Chemical Engineering PhD student and I am currently working with catalytic membrane reactors. Prior to that, I obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University and a M.S. from Rutgers University. During my free time I enjoy strength training and playing sports.
I am from Bangladesh, and I obtained my B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2018. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD degree in Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University. My primary research focus is to optimize the methane dehydroaromatization process by analyzing the reaction kinetics and dynamic structural evolution of metal-loaded zeolite catalysts. In my leisure time, I enjoy sports and going out with friends.
I have started as a PhD student in the Chemical Engineering Department at Texas Tech University. I obtained my B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2018. I am currently working on catalyst preparation by atomic layer deposition in Dr. Khatib’s research group. I love traveling, watching movies, and spending time with my family and friends in my free time.
I am a senior student from Tigard, Oregon and will complete my Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in May 2022. During Summer 2021 I worked as a process engineering intern at Jacob's Engineering in the Advanced Facilities Group. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, playing disc golf witth my friends, and watching college sports.
B.S. Chemical Engineering
Jim graduated from Texas Tech University with a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a Summer research intern at Brookhaven National Laboratory studying water-gas shift catalysts as part of the DOE Visiting Faculty Program that was awarded to the Khatib Lab in 2017. Jim is currenlty workig at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
I am a postdoctoral research associate in Dr. Khatib’s group working on methane dehydroaromatization. I have earned a Masters (2018) and a PhD degree (2021), in Chemical Engineering from University of New Hampshire, and a Bachelors degree from India. I have worked on synthesis and characterizations of heterogeneous catalysts for hydrotreating and reforming reactions in grad school. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, visiting beaches, and studying astronomy.
B.S. Chemical Engineering
During the Summer of 2017, Leah worked with Dr. Khatib at Brookhaven National Laboratory as a part of the Visiting Faculty Program of the DOE. She then obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. Her currrent research interests include nanolithography and patterning techniques with the application of improving manufacturability of semiconductor devices.
B.S. Chemical Engineering
Chemical Engineering undergraduate from Fluminense Federal University (Brazil) with interest in heterogeneous catalysis. Coauthor of the article “Selective hydrogenolysis of glycerol over Ir-Ni bimetallic catalysts” approved by Catalysis Today. Participated in the Texas Tech Summer Research Program working under Dr. Khatib's supervision.
